Great North Run 2011

“On the 18th of September I will be competing in the Great North Run for the Alzheimer’s Society. I hope to improve on my time of 1 hour 25 minutes.

Dementia is said to be one of the main causes of disability in later life, 1 in 3 people over 65 are diagnosed with dementia. The Alzheimer’s Society support people by providing a helpline for relatives, fund research into the cause, cure and prevention of dementia as well as seek to improve the public’s understanding and awareness.
