Hamsterley Primary School News – November 2011

SchoolRemembrance Day, 11th November: The children walked to the cenotaph in the village and layed two wreaths. They read poetry and sang a very moving peace song following a two minute silence.
We are all looking forward to Christmas and our Christmas preparations are in full swing!

Our Christmas Performances  are on Monday December 12th 5.45pm and Tuesday December 13th 2.15pm in the Village Hall – everyone welcome!

We will be having a Christmas Fair straight after the performance on December 13th.

Our Christmas Carol Concert will be at Hamsterley Baptist Church at 9.30am on Monday 19th December – again everyone is welcome to come and celebrate Christmas with us!

Volunteers: If anyone would like to volunteer their time to come into school please contact the school office (number as above). We are always keen for volunteers to listen to the children read or help the children learn new skills.
