Hamsterley Baptist Church 1652—2012

Baptist ChurchYou are invited to Celebrate 360 years of Christian witness in the Mid-Durham area.

Saturday 12th May 2012 and Sunday 13th May 2012.

You are warmly invited to share with us in our Celebrations of 360 years of work and witness in the village of Hamsterley, surrounding area and the Northern Baptist Association.

The Church was formed in 1652, worshipped at Bitchburn Farmhouse until in 1689 they were given the Barn, moving to their present location in 1714.

Hamsterley Baptist Church remains a vibrant Christian witness to this day in the Mid-Durham area.

Saturday 12th May 2012. The Church will be open from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
There will be displays of a historical nature. Tea and Coffee etc. will be available.

Sunday 13th May 2012 at 3pm. 360th Anniversary Celebration with the Reverend David Coffey. Past President of the Baptist World Alliance.
Light refreshments will be available after the Service.

There will also be FREE commemorative DVD’s available at the Church.
