Our speaker for the afternoon was Sally White who talked about her experiences as
a ‘Market Researcher’. She got into this line of work in a way by accident as a friend
with whom she was having coffee one day had a team of researchers and three were
unwell so Sally was asked if she would save the day. She did so and worked with the
team for 12 years. There were many interesting and varied experiences and she
enjoyed meeting many people from many walks of life. Some work was door to door
and some in halls. There was regular work for the National Food Survey, Proctor and Gamble, The Health Education Authority and The Home Office.
Her tales were interesting and very amusing but I will not go into details or it will
spoil the experience if anybody else has Sally to talk to them.
