Hamsterley Primary School News

Primary School signOur Nursery opened on the first day after the Easter Holidays and we currently have three boys and one girl attending. The children have all settled very well into their new routine.

Class 1 undertook a very interesting visit to the Newcastle Reform Synagogue.

Class 2 visited the Locomotion Museum in Shildon as part of their study of Engineering in the Victorian age.

Class 2 also visited Bowes museum to take part in a water colour workshop and to look at the exhibits at the museum relating to their studies of the Victorians.

Class 1 and Class 2 went to Frosterley Primary School to take part in “The Punctuation Show”, an interactive performance which reinforced grammar and punctuation.

If anyone has any pre-school toys (unused or used) they wish to donate to the school for use in the nursery it would be much appreciated! Please contact the school on 01388 488 279 or drop toys off at school reception.
