Local Amateur Chef Competition

Enter the Love Food Local Chef Competition.

There are two age categories (under 16s and over 16s on 31st December 2013) and the competition is open to anyone in the Love Food project area provided that they are not currently employed as a professional chef.

The competition will consist of three rounds judged by some of the best professional chefs in the area and will take place at our Love Food kitchen at Woodleigh, Barnard Castle during October & November.

For each category the Competition Stages are:
12 regional participants will be selected from their application form and will take part in Round 1.
6 participants will progress to round 2
3 participants will progress to round 3
Following round 3 a winner in each category will be selected by the judges whose decision is final.

We hope that lots of people will feel encouraged to enter!

Your Money, Your Area, Your Views – Community Grants Fund
If you’re a not for profit community group or organisation in the TAP area you can apply for a grant ranging from £1000 to £5000.  If you have an idea or a project that would benefit your community we would like to invite you to submit an application.
