Meet the Army
The Salvation Army are well known and much respected for their enthusiasm and commitment, reflected not only in their use of music as an expression of their Christian Faith, but also in their record of meeting social need.
On Saturday 28 September at 7pm we welcome the Shildon Salvation Army Songsters and Brass group to the Churches Together Centre for a concert but also to give us the opportunity to hear about their work nationally and in the local area.
Twenty five songsters and musicians, directed by Christopher Smith, will be providing the music and there will be opportunities for us all to join in with some of the singing. Major Linda Watson will introduce us to the work of the Salvation Army.
The evening will last until about 8.30pm. Tickets are not required and we hope that there will be a good turn out to welcome the Army to Hamsterley for what promises to be an exciting evening.
