Durham Constabulary, 7 November.
Details released of vehicle police are keen to trace.
Police investigating the death of three year old Danny Wake are appealing for information about a particular vehicle they would like to trace.

Police believe Danny was struck by a vehicle as he crossed Falmer Road, just off Neasham Road in Darlington whilst walking home from the shops with his mum, brother and another child. The incident happened at about 10:35am on Monday 4th November.

The vehicle police are interested in tracing is a light in colour Mercedes Sprinter style van. The vehicle is described as having red markings along the side and rear and possibly a red logo.

The man leading the investigation Detective Superintendent Kevin Weir said, “We have reason to believe a Mercedes Sprinter style van in a light colour was in the Falmer Road area at the time mentioned on Monday morning. This van is being described as having distinct red markings which could perhaps be a logo. We are really keen to speak with the driver of this vehicle as they may have important information to assist us with our enquiries. I’m hopeful that this description will jog someone’s memory or that the driver of that vehicle will come forward and help us with our enquiries.”
