Richard Deimel writes:
“Once a year on Maundy Thursday evening churches are encouraged to have a Communion service in the context of a full meal – which was the norm for Jesus and then the very early Church.
“We have booked the restaurant at the Saxon Inn, Escomb, overlooking the Saxon church, to do just that. There will also be elements derived from the Hebrew Passover Meal. The event evokes a strong connection to the story of Jesus’ Last Supper.
“Places are limited to 30, so please contact your Churchwarden if you would like to join us.”
