Hamsterley Primary School 50th Anniversary

Primary School signDecember 10th 1964 saw the official opening of Hamsterley Primary School’s new building. The school had opened for business in January of that year, with pupils and teachers helping move the furniture from the old school (now the Village Hall) to the new premises.

We will be celebrating this anniversary on Wednesday December 10th 2014, and all who have been associated with the school over the last 50 years are invited to come along. Put the date in your diary now!

We currently have photographs on display in the school covering these 50 years, and we would love for past pupils and staff to come along and see them, and to provide the stories behind them. You are welcome to come in any morning between 10:00 and 11:30, or afternoon between 3:30 and 5:00. You are also invited to join us on Friday 11th July 2014 for our sports day and summer fair, where you will also have the chance to see the photographs and add your comments and stories to our visitors’ book.
