1. Present: Jane Bee (Chairman), Rachel Atkinson, Sue Heslop, Julia Hunter, Jonathan Peacock, Simon Raine, Caroline Peacock (Clerk)
2. Apologies: Dominic Bayne,
3. Approval of previous Minutes: JP, SR
4. Matters arising:
a) Village Pond restoration project. Having received the views of parishioners, the decision is to clear the pond. It is, however, the wrong time of year to do it now for wildlife reasons. The Councillors are still seeking grants with a view to moving forward later in the year.
b) The application to local County Councillors for support has been approved and will be called upon in due course. The Councillors expressed their appreciation.
c) Dog poo highlighting spray. The use of highlighting spray had been warmly welcomed by several parishioners and this would be continued. CP expressed her regret that the original paint used had proved not to be as ‘biodegradable’ as claimed on the tin. She accepted the job of sourcing a more truly biodegradable product.
d) The need for further mole clearance was noted and new quotes will be sought.
a) Planning Application CMA/6/48 Windy Bank wind farm proposal. JP informed the meeting that a DCC Planning Committee date may address this application in early May or June.
a) No current invoices.
7. New Business:
a) Challenge Walk – update from Jackie Ritchie deferred.
8. Date of next Parish Council Meeting and Annual General Meeting: Monday 18th May 2015
