Thanks to all those who supported the flower festival last weekend. A few plants left from the plant stall are now displayed outside the gate to the millennium garden. Please do find these plants a good home – they’re local – so guaranteed to survive our climate! Just leave a donation – however large or small – in the honesty box provided.
Hamsterley Magna Flora will be taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June in and around the Methodist Chapel. With magnificent floral displays, the Millennium Garden planted with plants from the time of the Magna Carta, miniature shed display, teas and cakes – there’s something for eveyone! The event runs from 2-5 pm this Saturday (27th June) and from 1-4pm on Sun (28th June)
Don’t miss it!!!!

Cafe open selling hot and cold drinks, snacks and fresh cakes.
At risk of being accused of promoting our own interests, please may I remind you that our garden will be open in aid of the National Gardens Scheme this Sunday afternoon (14th June) from 2.00 to 5.00pm. Entry costs £4.00, children come in free. We shall be serving homemade cakes for tea, and there will be Northumbrian pipe music in the background. There will also be plants for sale. Last year we made nearly £2,000 for the ten charities the scheme supports, which include Marie Curie, Macmillan, Hospices UK and the Carers Trust – so we’d love to try and match that again.
Hoping to see you,
Caroline and Jonathan
Doors open at 7.00pm – film starts at 7.30pm

As part of Hamsterley Magna Flora we are keen for children, young people and adults who can’t help themselves to bring along a customised model shed. The base of the shed must be no bigger than A4.
