Our meeting opened with the singing of Jerusalem and our President, Janet welcomed members and visitors. Her introduction to the meeting was very lively and humorous.

Friday 21st February 2014, Village Hall. Drama (French – subtitles) A young French girl orphaned in a Nazi air attack is befriended by a poor farmer, and together they try to come to terms with the realities of death.
Monday 17th February. Village Hall at 7.30pm. Slipping Down The Ladder: The decline of Weardale’s great Elizabethan Houses.
February 11th 2014. N.b. 1:30 p.m. meeting. Lynn Dent “Wooleyback” – The Gentle Art of Knitting. Hamsterley WI.
The next event is a festive, post-Christmas entertainment. On Monday 20th January we shall simply relax and have some fun.
The meeting was opened by our President who wished everybody a Happy New Year and she welcomed Avril and Lynne our two new members. We then sang Jerusalem.
